2.To be a member-driven organization dedicated to building a community with opportunities for participation, networking, professional development and career enhancement both within NYAVA and in the volunteer resources management field.
3.To advance the profession by educating executives and leadership volunteers about volunteer resources management and engaging the government, education and corporate sectors.
4.To maintain contact and serve as the link between our membership and other local, national and international volunteer resources management related organizations.
5.To advocate for the importance of volunteers and volunteerism.
