A network of mentors are available for new and experienced volunteer administrators. Mentors have volunteered to listen to your concerns and challenges, offer tips and guidance or simply act as a sounding board. The Mentoring Committee coordinates Member Breakfasts throughout the year. Member Breakfasts include a brief introduction to NYAVA for those new members in attendance, a facilitated discussion on a current topic relevant to the industry, time to discuss members' professional challenges and networking.

About our Mentors
The NYAVA mentors have no less than 10 years and some more than 30 years of experience in the industry. They have worked in various sectors including, but not limited to, CBO's (community based organizations - serving youth to seniors, various health issues, etc.), cultural institutions, health care, volunteer centers, state and local government and education.
