Message from the PresidentClare Bruff
Our Annual Members Meeting is tomorrow and it will mark three years since I became President of NYAVA. It will also be my last meeting as President. The last three years have been rewarding but exhausting, so it is with a mix of sadness and relief that I announce that my term as NYAVA President is coming to an end. Iím really proud of all the organization accomplished during my term: we produced some incredible workshops, we continued biannual offerings of our signature course, Principles and Practices of Volunteer Management, and we offered community and networking to our members and constituents. I know NYAVA will continue to be a great organization and to do great things after Iím no longer President. I also want to assure you that Iím not leaving! For the next year, I will continue on the Board in the role of Immediate Past President to ensure a smooth transition. Later on in the year, I will also serve as Chair of the Nominating Committee Ė so donít be surprised if you hear from me again as we look to fill openings on our Board and Committees. It has been such a pleasure working with all of you, hearing from you, or meeting you at our events these last three years, and I look forward to seeing you in the future!
